While Medicinal Chemistry is emphasizing more on structure design Organic Chemistry focuses on the art of organic synthesis. However, Both Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Chemistry need to produce special chemical compounds. Under this circumstance, starting materials and reactions used in synthetic procedures become critical. To my best understanding, organic synthesis is nothing but starting materials and reactions.  Good chemists always find the right starting materials and reactions to achieve the goal for making certain molecules. This website is designed to address these two key elements in organic synthesis.

This web site has four major sections:

  1. Rare Chemical Data Base. Cambridge has very good database for available chemicals, and each big chemical or pharmaceutical company also has its own database. All those databases are not open to public. For many small chemical companies, they had a very hard time to promote their products, their web sites have been ignored because normally each individual web site has very limited chemicals. Our data base will open to public,  and dedicates to promote the chemical products from small chemical business and academy.
  2. Join The Discussion. This section is designed to help the life of chemists. In Job Market  part, employers could poster their open positions free. In Career Part of this section, chemists could discus every thing they feel valuable to help each other and have fun.
  3. Reaction Reference. The purpose of this section is to offer some general reaction mechanisms, common reaction procedures, newly developed methodology  used in rare chemical synthesis. In general, this section is a good lab work notebook.
  4. Business to business. This section is built to promote the small business and introduce professors in chemistry.
